We held the final event of the Cymru Youth Racing Circuit on 16th September. The participants had some good racing and reasonable winds. Mrs Val Smith, Monmouthshire County Councillor presented the prizes for the days' sailing and to the Region's overall winners. We took pictures of all the winners, and here are links to them and the results.

Whatever standard of sailor you are, Novice, Junior, Intermediate or National Champion, why not come and visit us? We have been told that we are...
"...one of the best kept secrets in Wales!"
2018 sees an exciting year for Llandegfedd Sailing Club. It is our 50th anniversary! We have started planning a weekend Regatta in July where we can celebrate with some keen racing and some nostalgia, and hope to have an evening spectacular event. Now that we have splendid facilities, in the Watersports Centre, and the Visitors Centre for those not sailing, the days of wooden huts and changing in Portacabins are well and truly over.
We are starting a re-invigoration of the club, setting us up for the next 50 years. We will continue our well managed and competitive dinghy racing, improve our training and coaching for all abilities, and widen the appeal to those who want a more social sailing scene. This will take time, but the journey has started.
Llandegfedd Reservoir is conveniently located between Usk and Pontypool and is around 8 miles north of Newport. It has deep fresh water. It is less than half an hour's drive from Cardiff or the Severn Bridge, yet it is in an idyllic country setting which makes it one of the most beautiful inland sailing locations in the UK.
For those who don't own their own boat, but can sail, there is a fleet of adult and junior club boats available for use when they are not required for coaching and training. We have Laser 2000s, Lasers with a choice of rigs, Fevas and a dozen Toppers
Please use the buttons above to find where we are, what we do and come and join us.
