President's Weekend 19, 20 September 2009
Beautiful sunny, warm weather but sadly little wind greeted 27 boats for this year's Llandegfedd President's weekend. No racing was possible on Saturday. Two closely contested races on Sunday morning decided the results of the series before the wind disappeared again. It was not possible to run the Pin, which will hopefully be rescheduled during October.

Llandegfedd Topper Traveller, 13, 14 June, 2009
A fleet of 24 toppers from all over Wales turned up to Llandegfedd for the Welsh Area Championships, Llandegfedd Topper Traveller and the Llandegfedd Topper Open. Saturday proved to be a frustrating day with typically Llandegfedd shifty, oscillating breeze. At the end of a competitive day Cardiff Bay’s Jack Preece was leading the fleet.
Unfortunately on Sunday, although the sun was shining, an unsettling wind made it very difficult to set a good course with a decent wind. This meant racing was unable to take place. The final results were: 1st Jack Preece CBYC, 2nd Tom Williams Shotwick Lake, and 3rd Danielle Rowe NYC/CBYC. Full Results Here

N.B. Club Regatta is postponed to the Sunday 12th July, starting at 10:30. Jeremy's in charge, and it looks as if he has lots of crazy events planned! You can check your personal handicap for Sunday here.
Llandegfedd CYRC Sat 6th June
34 junior sailors competed in the annual CYRC event, travelling from as far as Tenby. Heavy rain cleared in time for the first race and the wind picked up through the day, producing near perfect conditions. Race Officer Bill Jackson got in 5 races, with very competitive racing and some spectacular capsizing across all fleets (optimists, toppers, laser 4.7s and radials).
