Training Schedule 2010
RYA Level 1 and Level 2; Start Sailing

The 2010 training schedule is now set.
The start of the Adult course is on a Friday evening, as it gives us a good chance to sort out administration, clothing and safety aspects. You may also learn some knots and other shore based topics. It makes the full practical course much easier when we start the following morning.
On the Saturdays, we expect people to be on site, ready and changed at the time to be agreed, so that boats can be rigged and launched to give enough time to go sailing.
- Friday evening 25th June
- Saturday 26th June
- Friday evening 2nd July
- Saturday 3rd July
- Friday evening 9th July
- Saturday 10th July

Youth "Start Sailing" courses
We have decided to run the junior course on weekday evenings. The emphasis will be on teaching junior sailors to sail, rather than the RYA certificates. All sailors must be club members at the time they are on the water.
Cost; £5 per session.
Times; 18:30 to 20:30, be ready, changed and boats rigged or you will miss out! Contact Bill Jackson for details
The course will effectively be a rolling one, with more than one coach, so different abilities can be catered for. The better sailors who know what they are doing may be encouraged to move to the Tuesday evening for Race Coaching.
Performance sailing and racing

Andy with help from other instructors and experts will run further coaching sessions to develop racing performance, with emphasis on asymmetric spinnakers and race starts. Provided the wind is sensible, we will also use still and video camera as it will help see what you are doing right - and wrong.
If you have have specific suggestions for training please let me know so we can plan it for.
Charge for each day is a nominal £10.
