Training Schedule 2010
RYA Level 1 and Level 2; Start Sailing

The 2011 training schedule is now set. Unfortunately we have run this year's course. However, we can provide advice and guidance, so please contact us.
Please send a message training@llandegfedd.org.uk to discuss training.
Youth "Start Sailing" courses
We wil continue to run the junior course on weekday evenings. The emphasis will be on teaching junior sailors to sail better, rather than the RYA certificates. First session is 5 May. All sailors must be club members at the time they are on the water.
Cost; £5 per session.
Times; 18:30 to 20:30, be ready, changed and boats rigged or you will miss out! Contact Bill Jackson for details
The course will effectively be a rolling one, with more than one coach, so different abilities can be catered for. The better sailors who know what they are doing may be encouraged to move to the Tuesday evening for Race Coaching which starts after Easter.
Performance sailing and racing

Andy, with help from other instructors and experts will run further coaching sessions to develop racing performance, with emphasis on asymmetric spinnakers and race starts. Provided the wind is sensible, we will also use still and video camera as it will help see what you are doing right - and wrong.
If you have have specific suggestions for training please let me know so we can plan it for.
Sessions are planned for Saturdays July 2nd and August 6th. Start times are at 13:30, rigged but on shore for a discussion and explanation of the excercise we will do. Sat 2nd July is especially aimed at improving Asymmetric boats.
Charge for each day is a nominal £10.
