Thinking about Joining us?
Do I need to join the club to get afloat at Llandegfedd?
No. Anyone with their own equipment can pay a fee to Llandegfedd Watersports and launch their dinghy, windsurfer or SUP. The Watersports team will manage your booking and provide safety cover. You can also hire equipment from them by the hour and get instruction on how to use it.
OK, why would I want to join the club then?
The club runs the sail boat racing at the Lake, and supports members in the competitive aspects of our sport. We also provide high quality sail training for juniors as an introduction into our racing squads, and run improver courses for adults wanting to increase their skills and learn to race.
Is it expensive?
As the club is run by volunteers is very reasonable. You will be surprised by how little it costs. See the Costs Page
That sounds interesting, do I need my own boat?
Not to begin with. The club has a small fleet of boats that are suitable for beginners that are available for members to use without charge.
What if I have my own boat?
That’s great. Most members do as there’s nothing like having your own kit to use. We have a limited number of storage berths in the compound for members to purchase.
OK what’s the catch?
All we ask is that adult members get involved and do a couple of duties each year. This normally involves helping run races, in itself a good way to learn about the sport. And if you can help with occasional working parties to help look after the club equipment.
I’m interested how to I find out more?
Simply fill in the form below and we will be in touch. It will help if you indicate if you are interested in junior, adult or family membership.
Thank you for your interest.
I am already a member - how do I renew?
After the Annual General Meeting has fixed the Subscription and Berth fees for the coming year, existing members will be able to renew their membership using WebCollect. There is a link in the Member's section of the club website, under Important Information, Membership Data. Here is a link…..
