Accommodation suggestions
Camping

First up , nearest to the club in the pretty village of Coedypaen is the site at Whitehall farm . Fabulous views but no facilities other than water, so  ideally suited to self contained vans .

The Carpenters arms  https://carpscoedypaen.com/  , is only a 10 min walk for a drink or a meal.

In nearby Usk there is glamping at Usk Castle

https://www.castleknights.co.uk/ 15 min drive with several places to eat including fish &chips

https://thehopgarden.co.uk/

The Hop Garden is really special, slightly further afield (45mins) in the gorgeous Tintern and owned by sailing parents Ed and Tori.

https://pontkemys.co.uk/ 18 min drive away is an award winning comprehensive campsite in quiet rural Monmouthshire. caters for all types of camping with electric hook ups.

Local Self CateringWe suggest you have a look at these two properties that are very close to the Reservoir. You may be able to negotiate a short term part week booking, and then share with other sailors and friends. Blackthorn Lodge, Coed-y-Paen or Hawthorn Lodge, Coed-y-Paen  There is also some camping or camper vans permitted on this site
Other types of accommodation

General Club data can be found under the menu "About Us" pages. The reservoir is owned run by Welsh Water, and the club is one of may users of the Watersports Centre. At the gate near the dam wall, tell the staff that you are taking part in the sailing event and they will let you through without the need to pay any day permit fee. The Watersports Centre is the further building past the launching bay and dinghy park. Please report in to the Sailing Club team, who might be upstairs in the main meeting room. You will need to register and find what any local rules are about parking or racing.
