Adult Start Sailing

RYA Recognised Training Centre

The vast majority of people who learn to sail do so via RYA courses at an accredited RYA training centre. RYA certificates are the gold standard qualification, recognised worldwide. You can find out about these courses on the RYA website.

As a volunteer led club, Llandegfedd Sailing Club cannot offer adult beginner courses, but we can recommend courses run by Welsh Water Adventures to get you started; details at Llandegfedd Watersports.

Adult Improver Sailing

For sailors with some experience or skills of Level 2 standard the club offers support via it's Meet a Mentor scheme. Members are given personalised support to help them gain confidence and become independent sailors.
